I need a box scraper for my 7510. There's a chance, a slim one at this point, that I might be trading in the tractor for a larger one (2710). This brings up the question -- should I get a 5' box scaper which would be better for the bigger tractor or a 4' one, which is better for the 7510? Is the 5' one just too much for the 7510 or can I get away with it by taking smaller "bites"? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Oliver; Whatever combination you end up with try to keep the box scraper just a bit wider than the total width of your tractor even if you have to take shallow bites. Best of luck. Frank. ....

I bought a BushHog SBX60" box scraper for my B7610 which has a little more power than yours. It was more than it wanted until I filled the R4 tires and put a FEL up front. Fine now. Smaller bites are impossible pulling stone over distance. It will fill up the box. Use 4wd and low range. If your tractor starts to bog down, don't press the pedal in all the way, keep your rpms up around 25-2600 and feather the pedal, mashing it will work the machine harder and it will pull less wieght. That is how HSD works, not like a car or truck. ....
